JOIN US TO DISRUPT DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION!
The Kenya Network of Women and Girls with disabilities, supported by Ford Foundation is implementing a project that seeks to ensure that civic spaces, leadership and governance spaces are inclusive of women and girls with disabilities. We are running activities in Kisumu, Mombasa, Kakamega, and Nairobi.
To this end, we wish to document experiences of women with disabilities in leadership. You could be a political leader, you could be the village ward administrator, you could be an activist or a champion for rights of women and girls with disabilities. We would be happy to document your experiences in a booklet as well as work on the long term within the spaces of leadership, governance and civic spaces.
Who can apply?
- A woman with disability who is bothered by the systemic discrimination that continues to push women and girls with disabilities to the margins in leadership spaces.
- A woman with a disability excited to inspire other women with her leadership experience. A resident of Kisumu, Mombasa, Kakamega, and Nairobi Counties.
- Be ready to be committed to the program objectives going forward and ready to offer leadership when called upon.
Please share your interest to be a part of this process, detailing a bit on your leadership journey and why this opportunity excites you. Email: advocacynetworkkenya@gmail.com with subject line: Network Leadership Program, or WhatsApp: +254701616628 Elizabeth Mang’eni. We will reach out to successful applicants. All letters should be received by Friday 10th March 2023.
