Network Participation in Gender Based Violence Regional Exchange Meeting in Rwanda
From the 26 – 28 October 2022, the Network shall take part in a regional exchange meeting in Kigali-Rwanda, on Gender Based Violence (GBV) hosted by Kvinna till Kvinna. The Network is taking part in this meeting as it is a part of the Women Gaining Ground Program (WGG) through CREA. WGG program activities are focused on preventing and eliminating sexual and gender-based violence against women and girls, including those with disabilities as well as strengthening women’s leadership and women’s political participation in decision-making. The Network’s activities in Kenya have therefore focused on these broad themes. The Regional exchange meeting shall provide a unique opportunity to share innovative and good practices to address negative gender and social norms in GBV prevention and response. The Network shall take part in a panel session titled, Gender & Disability: Experiences in combatting social norms that perpetuate violence against women and girls with disabilities”. Th
